For 25 years we have been fortunate to spend several weeks per year exploring the Alps by motorcycle. Never have we been to Scandinavia however though we’d heard the roads were interesting there as well. While I was planning this trip I came upon Emma’s book(s) and articles. We would be doing this trip by car and wanted to experience the challenging roads through beautiful scenery we always seek. As it turns out, the roads in Norway were wonderful and would make a good “training ground” for the more challenging roads of the Alps.
Emma’s “West Norway Roadtrip Guide” helped us to do this. It was informative and detailed enough with maps, stories and photos to add valuable information to our planning process. What is more is that I discovered this book just before leaving for Scandinavia and would not have had time to have the book shipped to us in California before leaving. Emma responded wonderfully shipping the book to our first hotel in Norway so it would be waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you Emma, we are grateful for having benefited from your experience, creativity and hard work.
