Pick up

We offer pick-up at our office in Bryggen, the UNESCO World Heritage area in Bergen. If you’re visiting Bergen, chances are you’ll end up here!

IMPORTANT: Our office is closed 1 October – 8 November. During that time, pick-up is only available on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Collection Opening Hours: The office is open from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday.

If your arrival in Bergen falls within our opening hours, please place an order and specify when you’ll be there to pick up the book.

If your arrival in Bergen is outside our opening hours, the only option is to leave the book outside our office at your own risk. Our office is upstairs and undercover, and the only people walking past are others working in the alley. If you are okay with that, you can place an order and specify when you plan to pick up the book.

You can’t buy a copy of the book in the office (we don’t accept cash or card payments). Please confirm all orders in advance.

You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to get to our office.

Digital Guide

The PDF download link will appear on our website once the order is complete. It will also be sent to you via email within minutes of the order being completed. Please check your spam!

What travellers say

I travel a lot and buy plenty of travel books. I have never come across a book with so much concise, detailed, important information as this one. You most certainly cannot find this information online. I have read this book cover to cover and have highlighted so much. If I don’t have this book in hand while travelling with Hurtigruten (summer 2026), I would miss so much. This book goes day by day with times, information, and maps, so you can leave it open each day to find the right information for each part of the day. One example of the accuracy of this book is its reference to the stretches of rough seas, which one cannot find anywhere else. The port guides are incredible, with Q codes so waypoints and tracks can be used on Google Maps on your phone, which is a bonus.

Money well spent; it will largely enhance our journey north and then south along the Norwegian coast.

The Coastal Ferry Guidebook is a very well-written and informative travel guide. It includes useful details about the geography and history of the places along the route, and even browsing through the book already makes you feel like you’re on the journey. The book arrived quickly by mail. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip on the fairytale-like Hurtigruten coastal voyage.
